What a Treat: Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Fundraiser

Dancers, Samantha and Ava, pose with Gertrude Hawk Chocolate orders.

This year Jillian's once again sold Gertrude Hawk Chocolates as a fundraiser. Not only are the offerings delicious, but the variety and choices ensure that there is something perfect for everyone. Plus, all the proceeds contribute directly to recital costs for dancers and their families.

I knew we had done well when the delivery truck driver called me to say we had an entire pallet (!) coming to the studio. Sure enough, our dancers had outdone themselves selling chocolate to family, friends, neighbors, and chocolate lovers: We had over twenty large boxes of Gertrude Hawk orders stacked in the studio ready for pick-up.

For myself, I ordered the Sea Salt Caramels, Almond Butter Crunch and Milk Chocolate Non-Pareils. I had friends over this week for a Christmas gift exchange, and the chocolates made the perfect treat after dinner. The beautiful packaging and wrappings allowed me to put the candy directly on the table without the fuss of candy dishes or any special presentation. How easy and how scrumptious! My guests sampled a few of each kind and all commented on the delightful taste.

Already, I'm looking forward to next year when I can celebrate the season and share holiday love by gifting Gertrude Hawk Chocolates to everyone on my Christmas list. What could make a better gift than perfectly crafted, and beautifully boxed creamy, crunchy, crispy or chewy chocolates?
